Her present from us came BEFORE the party. She actually woke up at midnight and wandered out to the living room. I came out to find her sleeping on the couch next to her new bike. I asked what she was doing and she said she just wanted to sleep on the couch...I guess she could not wait until morning to get to know her BARBIE BIKE!!! Guess what my favorite part of the bike is....YEP the mini Barbie bike attached to it for BARB!!!
Of course just ONE Barbie was not enough. She loaded that bad boy down with Barb and all of her friends!!
Ethan woke up with a bad cold and had to go to the doctor in the morning. For the first time EVER he fell asleep in his high chair. Emersyn was sitting in the kitchen singing songs with Barb and she put him RIGHT to sleep. THAT is when I knew he was sick...this kid DOES NOT fall asleep that easy:)
These 2 were so excited to be princesses...they were even talking in some sort of a British/Princess accent for most of the day:)
Emersyn and I scoured EBAY for a few weeks and collected some princess dresses. We had ALL of the Disney Princesses...plus about 10 other Princess outfits. We were prepared!!!We also stocked up on accessories!!!
Here is the KID'S TABLE.
We had stations for hair, make-up, nails, and crown making.
AND in case anybody was unsure....we had a "few" princesses around the house..haha!!
Aunt Jenny was in charge of make-up...she even brought sparkled eye liner which was a BIG HIT!!
Kelsey came and WOWed the girls with some beutiful hair-dos. They even had colored extensions!!
And here is the finished product!!
OH WAIT...HERE is the finished product:) The girls all walked around with their hands like this for the whole rest of the night...they didn't want to mess up their nails. It was SOO funny. Emersyn even tripped and fell down and wouldn't put her hands out to stop the fall...what us girls do for fashion!!!
They went all out. FULL ON PRINCESS MODE!!!
Emersyn, Delaney, Kennedy (or Katori), Gracee, Katori (or maybe Kennedy) and Creete.
Creete was the only BIG boy at the party...he got a pretty good makeover too:)
We had a PRINCESS menu too...Em wanted it like a tea party, but mommy was out of energy at that point in the party planning. SOO we had mini heart shaped PB&J for the kids and yummy delicious chicken salad for the adults (recipe courtesy of Maren---you should ask for it because it ROCKS!!!) We also had yummy PINK PRINCESS PUNCH!!! Not really very TEA PARTY...but Em and I decided to compromise:)Somehow I always think I need to make a cake. Next year I might leave that part to Dairy Queen. BUT I did have fun and liked the finished product....even with the slight lean..haha!! Emersyn on the other hand said "whose castle is that supposed to BE mom??" Seriously...after the hours of work it has to look like a SPECIFIC Princess' castle? Why bother!!!
Even the CAKE was pink--pink strawberry cake with pink strawberry frosting. Emersyn also waited for me to get ALMOST done and then said...Can you make the top purple mom?? Why yes of course it should be two toned...why would I NOT have made it pink AND purple....Grrr!!
There was LOTS of laughing, screaming, running, and smiles...SO I guess that means we had a success. The kids played in the sandbox, jumped in the bounce house, dressed and RE dressed-up, chased each other with swords and balloons, and all in all ran around like crazy people. Emersyn said she had SO MUCH FUN---I hope that is 4 year old code for THANKS MOM...THIS WAS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!
